COVID-19 Operating Update

16/8/2021

A quick update to reassure you, our valued customers, that the FX Business Centre as a key provider to government agencies, medical practices and other essential service organisations, are currently operating and servicing all of our customers on the South Coast & Monaro region.

In line with the current NSW government public health orders, our showroom/retail shopfront in Batemans Bay is closed to public browsing. It is still open for 'click and collect' of consumable orders for customers who normally pick up stock from our office.

Most of out team are working remotely which may cause some delays in answering phone calls. We encourage you to log service calls and place consumable orders online via our website here.

We have also reached out to our key couriers and transport providers who have advised us that they are still operational so we don't anticipate any disruption to delivery of equipment or supplies to customers.

Obviously the situation is fluid and we’ll continue to adapt to and comply with any future government directions and best practices.

What we are doing in response to COVID-19

We continue to take special precautions and adhere to strict protocols in relation to our operations in order to maintain the health and safety of our staff and customers. These include;
  • Onsite Servicing/Installations – We have postponed non urgent interim maintenance calls. Normal customer request service calls and machine installations are being actioned as normal. However, we are making increased use of phone and remote support tools to resolve service issues. When logging a service call, our staff will ask questions pertaining to the status of your site in order to ensure it is safe for our service engineers to attend. Where our service engineers are required to attend onsite as the issue cannot be resolved remotely, they will work within any reasonable site specific special hygiene or social distancing procedures that you may have established for your workplace. Our service engineers will also wear masks onsite. We ask, that in return, your staff in the same office space where the service engineer is working also wear masks whilst they are onsite. Additionally, we have issued our service engineers with hand sanitiser, gloves and disinfectant spray to use at their discretion.
  • Consumable Supply – FUJIFILM Business Innovation (Fuji Xerox) have advised that the manufacturing of toner and other consumables is continuing as normal and expect to be able to maintain a stable supply of these items for customer use going forward. For monitored customers, we are continuing to monitor and automatically dispatch consumables as required. To ensure all customers have the supplies they need to continue business as usual, we are equitably distributing toner and will not be allowing stockpiling.
  • Our Office – If you are displaying any COVID-19 or flu like symptoms, have been in a hotspot area or exposure site recently or have been in contact with a confirmed case, we request that you do not enter our premises. Additionally, we require that all visitors to our office check in via QR code, wear a mask and hand sanitize.

How you can help us support you in this crisis

In order to support our customers, we ask you to notify us of any risks to our staff attending your site to support you. These risks include if you have anyone onsite who is displaying COVID-19 or flu like symptoms, has been in a hotspot area or exposure site recently or has been in contact with a confirmed case. All customers are reminded of their WHS obligations to notify of potential hazards in their workplace.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during these challenging times. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.
