Our responsibility to internal and external stakeholders spans the three pillars of sustainability. Whether they are employees, customers, business partners or the broader community, our stakeholders expect us to act as a good corporate citizen by finding the right balance between economic, environmental and social considerations.

Economic:

Having been in business for over 20 years, we know what it means to achieve a good balance between our own economic viability and that of our customers.

Economic sustainability is all about helping our customers leverage their document management infrastructure to give them a competitive advantage in their respective marketplace. By streamlining their document intensive processes we can lower their operating costs and improve their productivity.

Environmental:

At the FX Business Centre, we take environmental sustainability seriously. In 2008 we expressed this commitment by appointing a staff member as the “Sustainability Champion” and begun auditing our own environmental sustainability performance in such as end of life equipment, energy, waste, water and paper. In 2009 we were announced the winner of the inaugural 2008/2009 National Dealer Sustainability Challenge which is awarded for outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability.

Fuji Xerox also has a long history of commitment to sustainability. By embracing extended supplier responsibility through its approach to eco product design and remanufacturing of equipment and parts, Fuji Xerox is leading the way.

• Fuji Xerox designs all their technology solutions with the environment in mind and has pioneered a number of technologies including integrating parts made out of bio plastic, EA-Eco Toner which melts at a much lower temperature then normal toner, IH fuser that doesn’t require preheating and the use of energy saving LED lamps in the scanning unit.
• Fuji Xerox takes responsibility for all end of life machines, parts and consumables which are remanufactured at the UN award winning Fuji Xerox Eco-Manufacturing Centre in Sydney (which employs over 100 people making it the largest of its type in Australia) or at one of their other facilities in the Asia-Pacific Region. Over 99.7% resource recovery is achieved.

Social:

Social sustainability is all about giving back to the community that supports you. Over the years, the FX Business Centre has sponsored or participated in a range of community programs including:

• Donating the time for our staff members to participate in the Sparks reading mentor program
• Being a commited long term sponsor of Apex in the local area
• Sponsoring a range of local school award programs and scholarships over the years
• Offering discounted B/W copying for approved Not For Profit organisations in the Copy Centre
